MU Health Care Restores Participation in HealthLink Network via New Agreement with Anthem

We’re pleased to share important network news that directly impacts Level Health members in Missouri:

 

MU Health Care has reached an agreement in principle with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, which restores their participation in the HealthLink commercial network, effective retroactively to April 1, 2025.

 

Because HealthLink is the self funded network subsidiary of Elevance Health, this agreement ensures that MU Health is once again in-network for HealthLink members—including those on Level Health plans.

Key Details:

  • Effective Date: Retroactive to April 1, 2025

  • Applies to: Commercial plans (employer-sponsored and ACA marketplace)

  • Restores Access: MU Health is now in-network for HealthLink

  • Does NOT apply to: Anthem or BCBS Medicare Advantage HMO/PPO plans. MU Health remains out-of-network for MA as of April 1.

What This Means for Level Health:

  • Level Health members in Missouri can now access MU Health providers at in-network rates via HealthLink

  • No disruption in care or billing expected for commercial members seeing MU Health providers as of April 1

  • No changes for MA members—those plans remain out-of-network
